Introducing project partner: Ecological Monitoring Centre (CSE), Dakar, Sénégal

CSE, the Ecological Monitoring Centre (Centre de Suivi Ecologique in French) specialises in the mastery and use of geo-spatial services for the monitoring, production and dissemination of high-impact decision support products and services in Senegal and Africa. However, its interventions cover several other fields. It has positioned itself as a recognised resource centre and continues its efforts to maintain its institutional position through the quality and diversification of its services and partners.

The main aim of CSE is to "contribute to the knowledge and sustainable management of natural resources and the environment, through the production and dissemination of products and services to support decision-making, particularly for the State, local authorities, the private sector, civil society, research and development institutions, producers' organisations and development partners".

In the SustainSahel project, CSE is leader of WP7 ‘Geo-statistical and scenario modelling of CSL systems’ and co-leader of WP8 ‘Communications & dissemination driving impact’ and is contributing to the other WPs.

Ndeye Arame Guissé - Communication and Marketing Assistant at CSE

Ndeye Arame Guissé is a student in communication at the Gaston Berger University of Saint-Louis in Senegal. After finishing her Baccalaureate in Social and Human Sciences in 2016, she began her studies at the University Gaston Berger (UGB) in Communication and in parallel was enrolled in the Higher Institute of Management (ISM) of Saint-Louis where she got, in 2019, her Bachelor Professional.

She has several experiences in the field of communication, especially digital, where she worked with companies, associations and NGOs, which has reinforced her love for this field.

To validate her degree in communication at the UGB, she needed a company for an internship, that's what brought her to CSE where she is currently working in the communication, marketing and external relations department.

As a research project, she is working on the SustainSahel project and is pleased to have participated in the annual exchange meeting that took place in Saly, Senegal in September 2020.
